On Thursday, March 26 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, community members are invited to dine at the Pleasant Hills location to help raise funds for the senior class of Steel Valley High School. During this special fundraising event, 10 percent of your total food purchase will be donated to support the Steel Valley High School Class of 2026. Guests simply need to present the event flyer when dining to ensure their meal counts toward the fundraiser. Blacksmithing Basics: Hooks & Hairpins at Rivers of Steel, Carrie Blast Furnaces This three-hour introductory workshop is a great way to explore the art of blacksmithing and create something unique. Participants will learn the basics of forging steel and use essential blacksmithing tools to create a steel hook or hairpin to take home. These sessions are led by Rivers of Steel staff artist and bladesmith Jared Ondovchik (aka Artifact Metalworks). Special holiday workshops: Halloween Date Nights – Get spooky during this three-hour Halloween-themed couples’ workshop and learn the basics of blacksmithing. Bring a friend or significant other and work together to learn the basics of forging steel and using essential blacksmithing tools. Individuals may also attend, couples not mandatory. July 22 and October 22, 2026. – Create a spooky steel snake! July 29 and October 29 2026 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. – Create your own steel skull! This relaxed workshop offers an opportunity for planners, photographers, florists, bakers, venue teams, and other creative professionals to connect while learning decorative cookie techniques.
