Rooted in History & Building What’s Next
The region’s industrial legacy remains part of its identity, but today the Steel Valley is also becoming known for its creativity, community engagement, innovation, and growing network of businesses and local organizations aligning on economic growth goals.
At the center of that transformation are places like The Waterfront, the continued revitalization of historic business districts along 8th Avenue in Homestead and Main Street in Munhall, and new community anchors like Best of the Batch and staples like Carnegie Library of Homestead, one of the oldest Carnegie libraries still operating in its original building in America.
Whether you’re here for an evening event, coffee with a friend, here for work, moving into the 15120, opening a business in a borough, outside in the neighborhood or just exploring the area for the first time..
welcome to the Steel Valley!
