• Drew’s Clues Trivia at Golden Age Beer Co. | Every Wednesday

Golden Age Beer Co 337 E. 8th Avenue, Homestead, PA, United States

Drew's Clues Trivia at Golden Age Beer Co. | Every Wednesday 7:00 PM  9:00 PM Golden Age Beer Company 337 East 8th Avenue Homestead, PA, 15120 United States (map) Every Wednesday, Pittsburgh’s best trivia master hosts a brain-busting trivia at Golden Age. Drink beers. Answer questions. Win prizes! Teams of up to six welcome. We love lager. We started Golden Age Beer Co. because we are passionate about making clean and crisp lagers that are eminently drinkable. From crisp Northern German and fragrant Italian-style pilsners to luxurious dunkels and Franconian rauchbiers to the easy-drinking, “lawnmower” American lager, we believe that, with their clean, subtle and eminently-drinkable finesse, lagers are the beers that bring people together, that cross divides, and that are both the past and the future of beer.  And so we brought a brewery that makes lager its primary focus to Pittsburgh and, more particularly, to Homestead.  Indeed, we believe that to do anything else would be an injustice to this community’s hard-working, steely heritage and resolve.  When this community rose up in 1892 to rebuff a barge full of armed Pinkertons, it was fueled by Homestead-brewed lager, while the very brewers who crafted that lager stood in solidarity with their steel-worker brethren […]

In addition to providing vocals, Paul also splits time on the alto and tenor saxophones. Paul has an extensive repertoire of tunes encompassing the Great American Songbook- written by some of the best-known composers of American popular song. He is also well versed in early New Orleans jazz, the Swing Era, big band riffs, and everything in between. Paul is known globally for his enthusiastic, energetic, and powerful performances. Paul Cosentino founded the Boilermaker Jazz Band in 1988. Paul has also been featured as a soloist with many of the top bands in the swing world today, including a special appearance with the Jonathan Stout All-Star Big Band during an Artie Shaw tribute set. Starkbierfest Goldenator Release Day and Lenten Fish Fridays ay Golden Age Beer Company Friday, February 20, 2026 4:00 PM  10:00 PM Golden Age Beer Company337 East 8th AvenueHomestead, PA, 15120 We are kicking off our Lenten fish fry season in a big, boozy way, with our first ever Starkbierfest, commemorating the re-release of our beloved Doppelbock, Goldenator, the release of our Fastenbier, and the release of our first ever Eisbock! Starkbierfests in Germany are celebrations around the release of Doppelbock in Bavaria. These festivals began as a religious celebration celebrated by a single order of Monks, the Paulaner Friars — yes, the very ones whose monastic brewery ultimately became the brewery that we know as “Paulaner.” Contrary to popular belief, the origin of their famed Doppelbock “Salvator” was not associated with the Lenten fasting obligations of these Bavarian monks (although “fastenbier,” as a style originated for that purpose), but instead was brewed as a celebratory beer for the Feast of Saint Francis, which historically was celebrated on April 2 of every year, which only occasionally feel during lent. The beer was called “Sankt Vaters Bier” (“Beer of the Sacred Father”). In time, the Feast was moved by the Church into early March, the […]

John Gresh leads his talented band from the piano, covering songs that have become New Orleans staples, ranging from Professor Longhair to Dr. John to the Meters. Gresh’s voice has that same gravelly perfection and his fingers have the same key-tinkley mastery that made Dr. John a national treasure that far exceeded the boundaries of New Orleans. Gresh is joined with a band that has the range not just to deliver swinging renditions of New Orleans classics, but also precise covers of The Band, Van Morrison, and other 70s southern soul and Americana favorites with a drummer who can sing Levon Helms with the same aplomb that Gresh can sing Dr. John. As always, music at Golden Age is FREE TO THE PEOPLE. NEVER A COVER CHARGE! Prost! We love lager. We started Golden Age Beer Co. because we are passionate about making clean and crisp lagers that are eminently drinkable. From crisp Northern German and fragrant Italian-style pilsners […]

Food for Groundlings: Richard II at the Glitterbox Theater "Here, cousin, seize the crown." -Richard II 1 crown, 2 kings, 3 nights only. Food for Groundlings brings to life Shakespeare's most emotional and dangerous History. This prescient tragedy illuminates the abuse of power, the cyclical nature of fortune, and questions the "Divine Right" of Kings. Join us as Food for Groundlings presents The Tragedy of Richard II, Directed by Jonathan Heidenreich, at the Glitterbox Theater in Homestead March 20-22nd. Established in 2011, Food for Groundlings is an inclusive classical theatre company dedicated to the exposure, exploration, and revitalization of the works of William Shakespeare and other classical artists in the Pittsburgh region. We operate with a deep commitment to justice and equity, recognizing that diversity alone is not a sufficient goal. We reject tokenism and the perpetuation of unjust systems. Instead, we center justice and equity as guiding principles in all aspects of our work.
