Rainbow Kitchen Monthly Resource Event Free Community Services at Carnegie Library of Homestead | Dec 17
Rainbow Kitchen Community Services invites residents to its Monthly Resource Event at the Carnegie Library of Homestead in Munhall.
This free community event brings together local organizations, public agencies and service providers to connect residents with valuable information and resources.
Attendees can learn about healthcare coverage, housing assistance, financial services, job training, public transportation programs, senior services and other community support opportunities.
Participating organizations include Rainbow Kitchen, Adagio Health, Allegheny County Treasurer’s Office, Allies for Health + Wellbeing, Animal Friends, Bidwell Training Center, Citizens Bank, Dollar Bank, Pittsburgh Regional Transit and more.

- Indoor Months (Feb, Mar, Oct, Nov, Dec): Held indoors at the Carnegie of Homestead Library (510 E 10th Avenue, Homestead, PA 15120). Enter through the back door on E 11th Avenue and ring the bell. Tables and chairs are provided.
- Outdoor Months (Apr – Sep): Held outdoors at Rainbow Kitchen (135 E 9th Avenue, Homestead, PA 15120). Participants must bring their own tables, chairs, and canopies.
About Rainbow Kitchen Community Services
Serving the Steel Valley since 1984, Rainbow Kitchen Community Services is a Homestead-based nonprofit helping individuals and families through food assistance, nutritious meals and community support programs.
Community Resources & Services:
- Free Breakfast: Monday–Friday, 9:30–10:30 AM.
- Food Pantry: Supplemental groceries and essential items for eligible residents of Homestead, Munhall, West Homestead, Duquesne, Whitaker and West Mifflin. Distribution is by appointment; call to register.
- Children’s Nutrition: Kids Café provides meals through participating youth programs.
- Support Services: Case management, crisis assistance, referrals to community resources and vision assistance programs.
