Every child will receive a special lucky token — because everyone deserves a little gold on St. Patrick’s Day!\nPerfect for families with children ages 5–12\, this high-energy holiday celebration blends movement\, creativity\, and connection for a memory-making day you won’t want to miss.\nSpots are limited — grab your crew and let the luck (and adventure) begin!\n\n\n\nAbout Us\n\n\n\n\nHomestead’s historic St. Mary Magdalene Church now holds Dragon’s Den\, a bold\, 501(c)(3) non-profit providing transformative learning environments through the use of a state-of-the-art\, two-level therapeutic and educational challenge course\, including a 160-foot zipline and 20-foot climbing wall. Our course is designed to engage youth of diverse backgrounds and abilities to overcome challenges in themselves\, their communities\, and the world.\n\n  \n  \n \n \n  \nWe are excited to say we are listed as a 2021 top-rated nonprofit through Great Nonprofits and received the 2022 Gold Seal of Transparency from Candid.org! \nWe believe in the preservation of our history\, architecture\, and past as an inspiration to build proud\, strong\, and community-oriented young adults.\nOur Board\n\n“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful\, committed citizens can change the world; indeed\, it’s the only thing that ever has.” \n– Margaret Mead \nThe Dragon’s Den’s Board is supported by a cadre of enthusiastic trustees who believe the world and our communities can be improved by a small group of thoughtful committed citizens. The Board members have a variety of backgrounds and abilities\, including corporate CEOs\, educators\, engineers\, and marketing\, sales\, accounting\, and public relations professionals. Their passion is using their abilities and determination to make the Dragon’s Den dream a reality – a beacon of what is possible in Allegheny County and beyond. \nWhere are we located?\n1008 Amity St. – Homestead PA 15120 \nWhere can I park when I visit?\nThere is street parking available directly in front of the church that visitors may use. You may also park in the parking lot directly behind the church\, accessible via E Park Way\, when Propel Schools-Homestead is not in session. All of these parking options are free. Thank you to Propel for allowing us to use their parking lot! \nCan adults do the course?\nOf course! Half of our lower course is available to all ages 5 and up\, and the entire upper course is for all ages 10 and up. \nIf I do the upper course\, can I also try the Zip Line?\nYes\, a trip down our 160-foot Zip Line is included in every Soaring Dragons upper course purchase. \nI won’t be doing the course today\, but if I have purchased a ticket for my child\, do I have to pay for a ticket to come in with them to watch?\nIn order to help support our community programming\, a $5 Non-Rider Fee is charged for any adult spectator or other individuals not participating on the challenge course. Children under the age of 5 are not subject to this fee. \nDo I have to be on the course with my child?\nYou do not have to be on the course with your child. Our trained staff will be positioned throughout the upper course and on the ground to assist course participants. For children on the lower course\, you will be able to walk alongside them from the ground as they make their way through the course. \nWhat are the differences between the upper and lower courses?\nFloating Dragons (lower course) consists of 25 elements\, 14 of which are specifically for participants aged 5-9. The WAP program is about flipping the non-profit artist funding model\, leaning into community as the center of supporting performers\, and collectively holding and using the resources to make work. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVolunteer or Perform with the GBX!\n\n\n\n\nDear fellow lover of theatre and performance!\nAre you and actor\, director\, tech person or simply have an interest in getting involved and supporting local DIY art making?
