SUMMARY:Boilermaker Thursdays with Paul Cosentino & the Boilermaker Jazz Band at Golden Age Beer Co.
DESCRIPTION:Boilermaker Thursdays with Paul Cosentino & the Boilermaker Jazz Band at Golden Age Beer Co.\n\n6:00 PM  9:00 PM\n\n\nGolden Age Beer Company337 East 8th AvenueHomestead\, PA\, 15120United States (map)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPaul Cosentino has been a full-time musician and bandleader for over 30 years\, specializing in classic jazz and popular music from the 1920s to the 1940s. Paul plays an antique Albert System clarinet\, which gives him a wonderfully distinctive sound not often heard on today’s bandstands. In addition to providing vocals\, Paul also splits time on the alto and tenor saxophones. Paul has an extensive repertoire of tunes encompassing the Great American Songbook- written by some of the best-known composers of American popular song. He is also well versed in early New Orleans jazz\, the Swing Era\, big band riffs\, and everything in between. Paul is known globally for his enthusiastic\, energetic\, and powerful performances. \nPaul Cosentino founded the Boilermaker Jazz Band in 1988. Paul has also been featured as a soloist with many of the top bands in the swing world today\, including a special appearance with the Jonathan Stout All-Star Big Band during an Artie Shaw tribute set. Paul has also been featured with Glen Crytzer’s Rhythm Makers\, Michael Gambles Rhythm Serenaders\, the Gordon Webster Band\, Naomi and Her Handsome Devils\, the Russ Wilson Swingtet\, Clint Baker’s Golden Gate Swing Band\, and many more. He has also led a number of All-Star groups. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe love lager.\n\n\n\n\nWe started Golden Age Beer Co. because we are passionate about making clean and crisp lagers that are eminently drinkable. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFrom crisp Northern German and fragrant Italian-style pilsners to luxurious dunkels and Franconian rauchbiers to the easy-drinking\, “lawnmower” American lager\, we believe that\, with their clean\, subtle and eminently-drinkable finesse\, lagers are the beers that bring people together\, that cross divides\, and that are both the past and the future of beer.  And so we brought a brewery that makes lager its primary focus to Pittsburgh and\, more particularly\, to Homestead.  Indeed\, we believe that to do anything else would be an injustice to this community’s hard-working\, steely heritage and resolve.  When this community rose up in 1892 to rebuff a barge full of armed Pinkertons\, it was fueled by Homestead-brewed lager\, while the very brewers who crafted that lager stood in solidarity with their steel-worker brethren on the banks of the Monongahela.  We hope that we can stand in solidarity with this community once more as it continues on its path to a new golden age. \nOur brewhouse is well-equipped to produce the finest lagers.  We are fortunate to brew on a state-of-the-art 15 barrel BrauKon brewing system.  Bavarian-made and designed to manufacture the world’s most precise beer styles\, this system provides our brewing team with the tools it needs to walk the tightrope to make perfect lager\, which is defined nearly as much by its absence of imperfections as it is by its pursuit of perfection.  In what feels like a meeting driven by fate itself\, we were fortunate to find a head brewer who is up to the challenge of working with a system that has a lofty reputation for precision and finesse. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMeet Head Brewer Aaron Dahl\nHead Brewer Aaron Dahl joined Golden Age in 2021 to oversee the transition of the brew house and begin working on recipe development.  Aaron comes from Chicago’s Alarmist Brewing\, where he was the head brewer for six years prior to moving to Pittsburgh to head the Golden Age Beer team. In the past several years\, Aaron has earned three medals in the Great American Beer Festival:  in 2018\, the Gold Medal in the Hazy IPA category for “Le Jus;” in 2020\, the Bronze Medal for the Pale Ale category for “Pantsless Pale Ale;” and\, in 2021\, the Bronze Medal in the American Lager category for “Midwest Royalty.” He has dedicated his professional life to beer.  And while he can produce some of the best IPAs and Pale Ales in the country\, over the past several years\, his passion — like ours — has turned towards lagers\, and he is excited to run a brew house that is dedicated to and designed for the same passion. \nGolden Age Beer Co. is located in historic Homestead\, Pennsylvania\, just outside of Pittsburgh. Founded by the same people behind Pittsburgh’s beer bars the Independent Brewing Company and Lorelei\, Golden Age is dedicated to providing its community with an inclusive\, accepting\, safe and hospitable environment that focuses on people as much as it does great beer. \nWe are an equal opportunity employer that guarantees a living wage to everyone who works here. We welcome dogs and children.

John Gresh leads his talented band from the piano\, covering songs that have become New Orleans staples\, ranging from Professor Longhair to Dr. John to the Meters. Gresh’s voice has that same gravelly perfection and his fingers have the same key-tinkley mastery that made Dr. John a national treasure that far exceeded the boundaries of New Orleans. Gresh is joined with a band that has the range not just to deliver swinging renditions of New Orleans classics\, but also precise covers of The Band\, Van Morrison\, and other 70s southern soul and Americana favorites with a drummer who can sing Levon Helms with the same aplomb that Gresh can sing Dr. John. \nAs always\, music at Golden Age is FREE TO THE PEOPLE. SUMMARY:The Gilmour Project: Wish You Were Here LIVE at Carnegie of Homestead Music Hall
DESCRIPTION:The Gilmour Project: Wish You Were Here\n\n\nThursday\, December 11th\, 2025 | This event is for all ages. \n\n\nThe Gilmour Project is \n\nJeff Pevar (CSN\, David Crosby/CPR\, Joe Cocker\, Ray Charles\, Phil Lesh & Friends\, Ricki Lee Jones).\nBerry Oakley (bass & vocals with Allman Betts Band\, North Mississippi All-Stars\, Blue Floyd & The Doors)\nMark Karan (guitar & vocals with Bob Weir\, RatDog\, The Other Ones\, Dave Mason).\nScott Guberman (keyboard & vocals with Phil Lesh & Friends\, Keystone Revisited).\nPete Lavezzoli (drums with Black JGB\, Oteil & Friends)\n\nThe 5-piece\, All-Star ensemble\, quickly gained a reputation for flipping the ‘Tribute Band’ script on its head\, with exploratory performances of iconic and deep cut Pink Floyd classics\, David Gilmour-centric and solo compositions\, and pulling other surprise classic rock masterpieces out of their hats. Their version of Kate Bush’s ‘Running Up That Hill’ appeared in their sets\, weeks ahead of its ‘Stranger Things’ buoyed resurgence to the top of the charts and worldwide press … making the band appear spookily prescient. \nStarting from the heart of Pink Floyd’s musical structure\, these superstars allow each other to soar in collaborative improvisation to deeply express the soul of this profound music. These lifelong\, stadium musicians add a new\, authentic edge to the virtuosic impact of the compositions\, better than a mere tribute band. Floyd fanatics throughout North America (the U.S.\, Canada & Mexico) amazed at the agility of these sincerely dedicated and venerable artists as they dove deeply into a catalogue of hits\, deep tracks and astonishing covers conjoined to overwhelming Pink Floyd reverie. \nTheir original multimedia\, ‘Floydian’ spectacle\, eschewed poaching Floyd/Gilmour production assets and imagery – relying instead on visuals created by acclaimed (Blondie and Todd Rundgren) LD Hans Shoop and quadraphonic sound design and special audio FX by The Duke of New York (producer of Paul Simon’s ‘Graceland – The Remixes’). Each show was live streamed\, modernizing a page from Grateful Dead’s nihilist marketing playbook\, and making the performances available for free around the world for those unable to attend due to Covid concerns\, or just unable to attend by being on the other side of the planet. \nDrusky Entertainment presents: \nThe Gilmour Project: Wish You Were Here \nThursday\, December 11th\, 2025 \nDoors: 7:00PM / Show: 8:00PM \nCarnegie of Homestead Music Hall (Munhall\, PA) \n*All tickets subject to day of show price increase.
