Some can’t help but run their mouths.   \nIn this experimental clown/improv workshop\, we will explore absurd language as an avenue for discovery. Through clowning games and improvisational exercises that use invented words\, dubbing\, translation\, babbling\, and sound effects\, we will explore what special kinds of fun can emerge when we turn our legibility down to level zero while keeping our dignity turned up to level 10. How fun can it be to make no sense? \nAll are welcome! No clowning experience required. Participants will be given on-the-fly feedback throughout the workshop\, while also being asked to work quickly and embrace moments of uncertainty—so the more ready you are to dive in\, the more we can play\, fail\, and discover together as a group. Come mess around! \nINSTRUCTOR BIO \nDaniel Maseda (he/him) is a performer from Washington\, DC who makes ridiculous work. He is currently touring his debut solo “BE GOOD!” WITH PAULETTE\, which played at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe (★★★★\, Pick of the Fringe) and was awarded the inaugural Fringie for best Clown performance at the 2025 Philadelphia Fringe. Alongside his performance work\, Daniel teaches workshops on clown\, improvisation\, and devising. He is a graduate of École Philippe Gaulier.

DESCRIPTION:Alex Tatarsky WORKSHOP: Clown Rot at The Glitterbox Theater \n\nAlex Tatarsky\, a clown by trade\, is interested in all the ways we can fall apart on stage\, break down\, break things down\, be in the brokenness\, decay\, decompose and freak out.\nIn our four hours together\, we will play amidst the mess\, attempt to be possessed rather than possess\, and learn from the figure of the clown—for whom failure is a gift.  An attempt to follow pleasure amidst impossible circumstances. Delight in the dirt. Turn our shit into gold. For writing inspiration\, we will look to the compost heap and the garbage can. We consider the trash to be a museum of civilization. \nthis class is for:\nclowns and clown adjacent performers\nwriters who want to “write with the body” or “write on their feet”\nplayful people and curious people of all stripes! Tatarsky experienced fleeting fame as Andy Kaufman’s daughter and used to perform as a mound of dirt. They are currently touring their falling apart bildungsroman about wanting to die\, Sad Boys in Harpy Land\, and their compost clown lecture-performance Dirt Trip. Venues include Abrons Arts Center\, La Mama\, MoMA PS1\, Playwrights Horizons\, The Kitchen\, The Whitney Biennial and many bars and basements. As curatorial fellow at the Poetry Project\, they organized a series on the poetics of rot. Current research interests include magic tricks\, soil remediation\, and pageantry. @tartar.biz \nTatarsky has taught everywhere from universities to abandoned storefronts including at The New School\, The Pig Iron School\, and Celebration Barn. They have given artist talks and lectures around the US and Canada at illustrious institutions including Harvard\, MIT\, The Canadian Centre for Architecture\, and The Clark Art Institute. DESCRIPTION:German New Year’s Eve Party at Golden Age Beer Company \n\n\nWednesday\, December 31\, 2025\n11:30 AM  8:00 PM\n\n\nGolden Age Beer Company337 East 8th AvenueHomestead\, PA\, 15120United States (map)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us at Golden Age as we celebrate New Year’s Eve not just German style\, but on German time (6 p.m. EST).  Perfect for families or for those who would rather ring in the New Year’s at home (or even asleep in bed)\, German New Year’s Eve will include cocktails and German wines\, traditional New Year’s German eats\, Golden Age lagers\, alongside Golden Age (and kid favorite) staples of pizza\, fries\, and wings.  Start early with a special daytime edition of Drew’s Clues Trivia from Noon until 2 p.m. Then\, we’ll be joined by the one-and-only DJ EZ Lou\, the 80s night and new wave king of Pittsburgh\, who will be DJing an awesome New Year New Wave dance party from 4-7 p.m.\, and we’ll ring in the new year’s with a keg drop\, and a countdown from ten in German. \nAs always\, there is no cover charge for any of our events at New Year’s Eve\, and we welcome all.  Our bar and our kitchen will be open from 11:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Well behaved dogs are always welcome on our patio where we’ll have fire pits lit.
